Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data is processed when you use www.all.news, why, and what rights you have. It is written to meet the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who is responsible

The controller is the operator of www.all.news named in the imprint.

2. What we process and why

Hosting and delivery

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). To deliver pages and protect the site against abuse, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type, requested URL and time of the request. We do not keep our own server logs. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Settings stored in your browser

Your filters (countries, languages, hidden outlets), your search for the current session and your display settings are saved in your browser's local storage and session storage. They never leave your device and we cannot read them. You can delete them at any time in your browser.

Country and language preselection

On your first visit the page asks Cloudflare for the country of your IP address and reads your browser's language and time zone, so it can suggest matching news. This happens in your browser; we do not store the result anywhere except in your own local storage.

Analytics (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC, to understand how the site is used (for example which pages are visited and for how long). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies and processes pseudonymous identifiers and usage data; it does not store full IP addresses. Where the law requires consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland), analytics cookies are only set after you consent; otherwise our legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the site. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We show ads through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. Third parties may place and read cookies on your browser, or use web beacons, to collect information as a result of ad serving on this website.

Legal basis: your consent where required (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), otherwise our legitimate interest in financing the site through advertising.

Contacting us

If you email us, we use your message and address only to answer you and delete them once the matter is closed, unless we must keep them by law.

3. Links to other sites

all.news links to articles on publishers' websites. When you follow a link, the publisher's own privacy policy applies; we have no control over their processing.

4. Transfers abroad

Cloudflare and Google may process data in the USA and other countries. Both are certified under the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; where that does not apply, transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

5. How long data is kept

We do not run our own user database. Cloudflare and Google keep data according to their own retention periods; Google Analytics keeps event data for at most 14 months. Cookie lifetimes are listed on the cookie page.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise these rights, contact the operator named in the imprint. You may also complain to a supervisory authority — in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), in the EU the authority of your country of residence.

7. Children

all.news is a general news service and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.

8. Changes

We may update this policy when the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
